Sweet Pie Dough
Ingredients Yield: Enough for 1 9-inch pie
- 300g (2c) All-purpose Flour
- 200g (3/4c) Butter
- 100ml (1/3c +1tbsp) Milk
- 20g (2Tbsp) Sugar
Instructions
- You can mix the ingredients together either by hand or using a food processor.
- Throw your dry ingredients in together, add the cold butter. Pulse until combined and the butter has become pea sized chunks.
- Add your wet ingredients to the dry. Pulse until combined. You want the dough to be crumbly but hold together when you squeeze it in your hand.
- Place the crumbly dough mixture on a clean surface, and push it all together until it forms a ball. once the ball is formed knead the dough four times to ensure the dough stays together.
- Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate for an hour.
- When you are ready to bake, roll out the dough about 2-3 mm thick. Press into a pie dish. Poke some holes in the bottom with a fork, then bake for 10-15 minutes in a 400 degree (F) oven.
